Truck Wont Start Until It Cools Down

It doesn't even turn over. It does not lose power or stutter it just shuts down!

Truck wont start until it cools down. 1997 chevy c1500 wt with 4.3. Once the engine heats up and i turn the truck off it wont start until it cools back down. Help, it alwyas happens at the most unopportune times!

Truck runs great at a cold startup but once it gets to its normal temp the truck dies and wont start untill its cold ive replaced the fuel pump and the distributor and it still doing it. The truck runs and drives fine until the temp guage hits 210(normal operating temp) and then the truck runs really rough ideals up and down and then finaly dies. Don’t make the common mistake of replacing the solenoid.

It doesn't appear to be the fuel pump. Won't start after long distance drive got spark let set for about a hour then it started don't know how to fix it can you help it dose have a new fuel pump in it. 1990 f150 4x4 302 manual.

The 1994 ford ranger has 11 problems reported for warm engine won't start. I have the problem that some others have. Our 1999 cougar runs fine but, randomly, after stopping and shutting down won't restart.

Eventually starts when coolant cools down a few degrees after fan turns off. Have oto keep it cooldown in order to turn on engine again. Let them cool down and they seem to want to work properly until they get hot again.

Anybody have any ideas about this? Then once it starts it will run to fine until tirned off. Problem start after driving car no mather about distance, after turning off engine and passing few minutes car wont start.

This truck is killing me.over past 3 months it started dieing randomly more and more often.each time worse than last.it will shut down and crank back up but run like crap till it cools off.as of now it is at its best idle (all the work ive done)ever.till it gets to running temp where it goes to crap chokes down repeatedly only running a few seconds.and getting. Car wont start till it cools down starts and runs great but once it is good and warmed up and you shut it off, it will not turn over until it has cooled down. 4.7 dies once truck warms up and will not start until it cools down although it isn't over heating. Problem is it starts and runs but after shutting it off ,wont start until it cools down again. I have to let it cool down before i can start the engine again. Even sometimes but rarely engine turnes off without any reason.

A dead battery is the most common reason why your car won’t start. I had an tempo about 10 years ago that did the same thing and it turned out to be some kind of sensor. So ill add another to this.

I suspect a sensor or module that heats up but can't find anything about this. Truck wont restart after oil life shut down. The problem is worse in warm weather last week it topped 90 degrees outside for two days and dealt with the problem for two days.

The temperature gauge reads normal. Get a spray water bottle, and wet the starter motor down when its hot and wont start, if it fires up, then you have an answer, or always carry the bottle full of water, worked for my brother till he bought a high temp starter, and insulated it as well. The dealer cannot figure it out.

After 30 minutes it starts right up. Replaced the starter but that did not help.
