Truck Interior Lights Wont Shut Off

All the doors, truck, and hood are completly shut.

Truck interior lights wont shut off. Now i did have some generator cords in the back and 1 was wedge between the seat and door but door looked fully closed ,plus i closed and opened a few times ! Anyone had this happen on their truck and get it fixed? Is this a problem with the convenience center found in the manual or something else? All the lights inside the cabin wont turn off. I have even gone as far as to replace the headlight dimmer switch,door jam switches, keyless entry control module and.

The lights on the doors and the dome light or whatever its called that are only supposed to be on when the doors are open won't shut off they stay on when i am driving and when i shut the truck off! The only one that worked to keep the lights off was the light switch/button in the front ceiling panel. I even tried to rotate the bright/dim knob all the way down and it still wont turn off.

When i went to shut down the truck, none of the exterior light would not shut off, the high beams will not turn on, turning signal will not work, hazard lights wont work, and the interior dash lights stay on. I looked up the trouble shooting steps from gm and followed them. I had to take the bulb out.if left in the overhead lights will not go out.

If you are in the drivers seat turn the truck off but leave the headlights on and open the door the truck will make the ding ding ding sound letting you know the lights are still on. Hopefully that is it so you won't have to go searching for shorted wire some where. If it doesnt try spraying wd40 into the latch.

I disconnected the battery cable and the lights went off. Dome light does not always turn off when door is closed or engine is started. If something happened to that sensor, than that would cause the dome light to stay on.

What i discovered was that stuff i had in the cargo area would shift (slide back) and cause the sensor to think the door was. The switch on the dash and the one in the bunk area do nothing. The pin for the door is built into the lacth.
